Welcome to Things Alexis Says — a fan-built tribute to one of television’s most unforgettable characters.
Alexis Rose, brilliantly brought to life by Annie Murphy, stole our hearts across six seasons of the Emmy-winning CBC/Pop TV series Schitt’s Creek. From her casually dropped bombshells about past adventures with international diplomats and questionable boy bands, to her slow, genuine transformation into someone who actually cares — Alexis gave us some of the most quotable, hilarious, and surprisingly moving moments in the entire show.
This site is a collection of those moments. Every quote, every wild aside, every “David!” — catalogued and organized so you can relive the chaos whenever you need a little boost.
Why Alexis?
Because nobody else could make “I was taken hostage on a yacht by Somali pirates” sound like a casual Tuesday. Alexis Rose is the kind of character who sneaks up on you — you start the show thinking she’s the shallow socialite, and by the finale you’re ugly-crying because she chose herself. Her growth from globe-trotting party girl to someone who finds real purpose (and real love) is one of the best character arcs in modern comedy.
Annie Murphy’s performance earned her an Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series in 2020 — and honestly, it was long overdue.

The Show
Schitt’s Creek premiered in 2015 on CBC and Pop TV, created by father-son duo Eugene Levy and Dan Levy. When the once-wealthy Rose family loses everything in a tax fraud scheme, they’re forced to relocate to Schitt’s Creek — a small town they once bought as a joke. Over six seasons, the Roses rebuild their lives and discover what actually matters: each other, the community, and love in all its forms.
The series went out on top. At the 72nd Primetime Emmy Awards in 2020, Schitt’s Creek swept all seven major comedy categories — the first show in Emmy history to do so. It won nine Emmys total in its final season.
